It was released in Japan on June 25, 2009 and sold over 514,000 units in just two weeks, while in North America, Europe and Australia it is scheduled to be released in July 2009.
The game is part of an ongoing series of games referred to as the Wii Series and is compatible with Wii MotionPlus, which highly improves its precision of motion capture. According to Nintendo, the sensor in the device supplements the accelerometer and Sensor Bar capabilities of the Wii Remote to enable actions to be rendered identically on the screen in real time. With this peripheral players can have much more fun. Take table-tennis as an example, instead of simple combination of left and right or up and down, they can even play curved stroke with wiggle of the wrist.
