The two hip-hop stars Jay-Z and Eminem are collaborating once again, not for a new album, but for a new rhythm game releasing this fall, the Renegade Edition of DJ Hero.

Named after the Jay-Z and Eminem song of the same title, DJ Hero Renegade Edition will include an exclusive CD two-pack with unreleased tracks from both artists, as well as a premium turntable controller with a convertible stand.

Several mash-ups have already been revealed for the final game:

”Feel Good Inc.” by the Gorillaz vs. “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” by Marvin Gaye
”Jayou” by Jurassic 5 vs. “Rockit” by Herbie Hancock
”Shout” by Tears for Fears vs. “Pjanoo” by Eric Prydz
”Bustin Loose” by Chuck Brown vs. “Time of the Season” by the Zombies (DJ Shadow Mix)
”All Apologies” by Nirvana vs. “Give It to Me Baby” by Rick James (DJ Shadow Mix)
”Let’s Dance” by David Bowie vs. “Jack of Spades” by KRS One (DJ Shadow Mix)

No word yet on how much will this special edition cost. But it won’t be low-priced with the standard version already priced at an arguably steep $119.99.

the DualShock 3

It’s about time we got some extra colors! According to various US reports, SONY will release the DualShock 3 in “Deep Red” and “Metallic Blue”, the most patriotic dualshocks we’ve ever seen. Sony says they should be available this October.

It’s an irritating fact that Japan still get things that we never see here in North America, while we’re so limited in terms of color options when it comes to video game hardware and accessories. Maybe some players still prefer the black ones, because it’s classic. But, variety isn’t a bad thing. Anyway, here comes our own dualshocks, whose colors are from our national flag. And if you want to show American spirit, you can purchase all three red, white, and blue controllers available.

Tobacco-free UNM: Cigaretts? NO; E-Cigaretts? YES!

Author: ally keer  //  Category: Games and Players

After months of debate, the University of New Mexico will soon be a tobacco-free campus beginning Saturday, Aug. 1. The new policy includes not only cigarettes, but smokeless tobacco as well, and will be fully implemented by the time students and faculty return for the fall semester Monday, Aug. 24.

The new tobacco-free policy affects all areas of main campus, north campus, south campus and athletics, and UNM’s Continuing Education Center. The branch campuses must comply with the Dee Johnson Clean Indoor Air Act.

No Smokingsmoking

The primary reason behind the tobacco-free initiative is to have a healthy environment for people to work and students to learn. And the adverse health effects of cigarette smoke, both first and secondhand, have been well documented over the years. As we all know, tobacco-related diseases are some of the biggest killers in the world today and are cited as one of the biggest causes of premature death in industrialized countries. The diseases and afflictions that can be caused by smoking include vascular stenosis, lung cancer, heart attacks and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. And according to the recent research from the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson, exposure to nicotine by way of cigarette smoking may increase the likelihood that pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma will become metastatic. This study was published in the August edition of the journal Surgery.

It’s hard to quit smoking, but it’ll be hard on you if not quit. Is there a half measure? Then, try the health electronic cigarettes, no tar and other carcinogenic substance, no ignition and no fire hazard, harmless to other and the environment. It can enable smokers to abstain from smoking non-painfully, and also can help them give up smoking in 3 months if they want.

iPhone 3G = $ 49 !!!

Author: ally keer  //  Category: Apple, iPhone

The iPhone 3G debuted last year, but recently received a system software upgrade that puts it almost on par with Apple’s latest smartphone. Besides, when the iPhone 3G S debuted last month, AT&T held on to the previous model as a less expensive option. This version is available now for just $49, but there’s a catch. The units selling at this price are not brand new — they have been refurbished.

As AT&T says:

Refurbished phones are previously owned devices that have been unused or lightly used and returned during the 30-day trial period. Each refurbished phone is independently quality tested and loaded with the latest software to meet current factory standards. Some refurbished iPhone 3G devices will have minor scratches.

The regular price for a non-refurbished device with 8 GB of storage is $99. Then, I think this is quite worthwhile. At least it’s an Apple smartphone with an HVGA, capacitive touch screen, Wi-Fi, and GPS! As for the touch screen, it’s simple, convenient, and fashionable. It has been one of the most important features of phones. At the same time, it’s also easy to get damaged because of overuse. Luckily, there’s original touch screen in stores. So, get some just in case.

Halo Waypoint, a New Xbox LIVE Destination

Halo

Halo

The Halo series has been highly successful both commercially and critically ever since the first Halo: Combat Evolved on July 1, 1999. Recently Microsoft has announced that a new Xbox Live feature coming this fall called Halo: Waypoint. It will be a hub for all things about Halo by informing fans of the latest Halo news and activities, and granting access to content ranging from podcasts, trailers and screenshots, to exclusive video footage you won’t find anywhere else. It will also provide a new challenge for Halo gamers with a career system and player rankings tied to both in-game and out-of-game accomplishments related to Halo.

This exciting news must inspire Halo fans’ interest to play some warm-up rounds in advance. But pay attention to your beloved Xbox 360, too much warm-up exercises might get it overheating problems, especially for some Xbox launched before 2007.8. Because they don’t have the 2ND heatsink Microsoft has added to the new ones, which can provide additional cooling for the Xenos GPU. So always lead to system halted, because the temperature can’t down by Cooling FAN and intrinsic heat sink. However, this heat sink can down the temperature around 10 degree.
